By the way, we’ve had Danielle on this show before on Episode 258 where she taught on how to strategically get partnerships and collaborations in order to grow your business. We freaking LOVE Danielle and that episode is incredible if you haven’t yet listened to it.
But for today…OOF get ready. We go over & chat about SO FREAKING MUCH. We touch on community, personal branding, boundaries, having systems in place in your business, and literally so much more. But through it all, I would say the MAIN focus of today’s episode is really going to be on the 3 steps Evie and I recommend to scale your profitable business.
Growing and scaling your business is hard. There’s SO much that you feel is stacked against you and it can be SO hard navigating the tricky waters of entrepreneurship. In today’s episode, we really go over our own business journeys as well as how we successfully scaled The Heart University, and I hope the lessons you learn today can be valuable takeaways you can implement in your own business.
The Importance of Community
The Heart University would not exist without the importance of connecting with others. Two can go farther than one, when you get together with like-minded people for a purpose, a mission that is powerful, it is life-changing.
It’s important to have people in your life that can give input and perspective. Everyone has different strengths, worldviews, and upbringings so they see things differently. You want to have people that can pour into you and your business. Your business reflects who you surround yourself with. Your people can truly make or break your business. Don’t skimp on the people you invest in.
3 Things to Help You Scale Your Business
- Personal Branding: how we’ve been able to grow is getting a community to have buy-in. You can’t go grow and scale a company without people actually caring or being top of mind when they need what you are offering.
- Investing in our people: mentors, education, or your team. You can go so much farther when you invest in your people. Whether that’s employees, mentors, etc.
- Boundaries: get good with boundaries in your life and business. As you start growing and gain the success you get on this hampster wheel of continuing to go on. You’re on this hampster wheel striving and pulling out all your time. You need to work smarter not harder. Create systems and automate things. Don’t work 16+ hours a day, you think you need to work 16 hours a day to run three businesses but you can’t. You think you have to, in order to run three businesses but it’s the opposite. You need to scale down and be diligent with your time to manage that much. It’s working on your business and, not in your business.
Where to Invest:
Audit your time, audit where you spend your time in your business. Do you spend five hours on Instagram, but what is the ROI on that? Then you can know what you are best at and figure out what brings the biggest ROI. So then focus on that one first. You don’t have to have a team to save money with your time. Think about batch working, systems, workflows, and organization. You don’t always need more time, you need to limit it.
Most Proud Of
The relationship we are able to build with our community. Sharing our hearts, wins-losses, etc. We’ve seen lives being touched and changed. The impact we have seen is what God has done through our businesses—getting over the fear of what people would think of us and sharing it anyway. Be willing to be real and share the hard stuff and invite people in and in doing that you have to get over that fear of what other people would think.
