Answers to your Questions coming up now!
If you came out with a subpar service and product we don’t think you’re irredeemable. However, you will have to deal with negative reviews, a negative brand image/reputation,
Everyone makes mistakes and nothing is going to be perfect, HOWEVER, it’s SO important to do things with excellence. To not put crap products out into the world. ESPECIALLY if you know their crap.
A good rule of thumb whenever we’re getting ready to sell a course, an online digital product, a physical product, etc. is “Would I genuinely want to buy this myself?” If the answer is no, don’t put it out. Because if even YOU don’t want to purchase it, your heart won’t be in it, you’ll know it’s not the absolute best product/service ever, and it will show.
But if you consistently are putting out services/products with incredible value, that have results, that change people’s lives, etc. That hard work to make it GREAT will come back to bless you. You WILL be known in the industry you’re in for serving people well vs. selling crap things that don’t work.
If that means go the extra mile now vs. shortcut to get it done fast but not excellently, ALWAYS choose the extra mile.
Hire it out. When we say hire it out we don’t mean you HAVE to have an accountant monitoring your books all year (we do recommend that once you can afford it), we mean pay $75 once a year to H&R block or your local accountant to do your tax returns. Taxes aren’t something to mess around with. You’re the expert at your business. NOT accounting. Let the expert handle it.
Tips for helping make taxes easier:
I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO SAY but I’ll try to keep it short. I used to think structure chained me up. I felt like it held me back from enjoying life. But I slowly discovered as more and more responsibility was added to my plate, I was falling apart. I would take time off and feel guilty. I couldn’t fully relax. I felt lazy and like a failure. (SO UNHEALTHY!!!)
But I slowly began to realize that:
So I began to work on the structure. It started with things like organizing my calendar based on task priorities Experimenting with time blocking, beginning to keep to-do lists, and messing around with what structure worked best for my brain with those lists. Hiring on my VA to help me organize my email inbox, google drive, etc. Figuring out what life priorities I wanted: (ex: daily workouts, days off, work stop times, etc) and beginning to schedule those in.
It was a learning process FOR SURE, but I discovered that the more I embraced structure, the more freedom I had. It sounds so counterintuitive, but it’s truly revolutionized my life. It just starts with small tasks. I’ll try to do a YouTube video on this to share a bit more of my journey more in-depth, but it was all just kind of trial and error and figuring out what worked best for me with different structures!
It sounds counterintuitive to say structure makes you free, but it truly does. It just starts with small tasks and is different for every person and figures out what works best for you.
YES, VERY necessary!!! It is a preventive payment. Even though it is very confusing sometimes, it is very necessary. Property insurance and liability insurance are two of the must-haves as a business owner. Work with an insurance agent/expert to help you figure out how and what to insure, but a couple of recommendations:
Even if you’re working at night, you should still have a time where you turn off work for the day, even if that’s 10 pm. There are seasons of life where things are crazy, but in general, don’t burn yourself to the ground. Evening work in your season of life will not last forever. If you value that quiet alone mom time, and evening doesn’t work for that because you have to work when kids are asleep, then get up early to take a quiet bath, read, have your coffee, or whatever it is you do for your me-time.
Remember, sometimes seasons like this are necessary, but they shouldn’t be forever.
Tips for being able to get work done during the day so you don’t ALWAYS have to work at night:
We KNOW it’s hard. We see you and we just want to validate your exhaustion. You’re doing HARD work and you’re an incredible mama. There are seasons where different things have to take priority and that’s okay. You’re not expected to be superhuman who does it all. You’re doing an INCREDIBLE job, even when you don’t feel like you are.
