We’ve made it to our 100th episode. What EVEN. This podcast has been such a fun aspect of our job, and we love getting on the mic twice a week giving you guys business education, life inspiration, and so much more. We thought for a while about what we wanted to do for our 100th episode. A lot of podcasts sometimes do an epic guest for their 100th episode or they do little snippets of past incredible episodes. Or they reflect on the last year all eloquently and what not. Well, we’re doing none of that. In true Evie and Lindsey fashion, we felt like the best way to commemorate our 100th episode was to give you a whole episode of our outtakes from the past 100 episodes. Our goofs. Our bloopers. Our spazzy selves. You’re getting ALL of it and more today. Fair warning: there’s no education here today. If you’re just here for the biz hacks, we have nearly 99 episodes for that (go listen to any one of them), but this episode is purely just for laughs. If you’ve followed us for a while you know that’s very on-brand for us. We love to serve you hard business education, but in a super fun way. And we never take ourselves too seriously. 

We just wanted to hopefully make you laugh with all of those fails… but also, we wanted to encourage you. “Perfect” is a lie. Nothing will ever be 100% flawless. There are always mistakes or mess-ups, bloopers, and do-overs. That’s part of life and business.

But don’t let the fear of making mistakes and having those bloopers stop you from starting.

We stumble over our words all the time. But we keep going. We could probably get better at not saying like, or uh or umm, but we didn’t have that mindset stop us from starting a podcast in the first place. We are always learning and growing. If only you could see us now, We are both recording this in dark closets, dungeon little areas with makeshift stuff. 

Just go for it! If you have a dream don’t wait until it’s perfect. Don’t wait till everything is absolutely in line. Just start and go after what you want to do, with what you have. With where you are at in life.  

 

There’s a quote out there that says something along the lines:

Your first podcast will suck.

Your first video will suck.

Your first speech will suck.

Your first gig will suck.

Your first painting will suck.

Do it anyway.

That’s what we wanted to encourage you with today by showing you this blooper episode: DO IT ANYWAY. Just start, it’s going to be imperfect and that’s okay. People are going to relate to the imperfection in it. 

We just hope that you take this encouragement and know that no matter how far along you are, you will still mess up. You just gotta keep going and you will grow as you go. You’re going to stumble with your words, that’s okay. You’re going to have times where technologies fail, that’s okay. 

Embrace the mess and fun that comes with growth + learning, that’s called the process and it’s HEALTHY!

So if you get anything other than a good laugh from today’s show, we hope it’s encouragement that no matter how far along you are, whether you are just starting or like us over a year in, you still mess up. It is part of creating and the journey. Part of growing.  But you gotta keep going and don’t let those mistakes and mishaps hold you back.  Growth comes from consistency. Because if you aren’t failing you’re probably not growing. 

In honor of the 100th episode, genuinely thank you! From the bottom of our hearts, this is one of our favorite things we do, and it means the world to us that you show up and listen. We do this because of you.
