If you’re needing a refresh on your website because it’s just not quite converting the way you need it to OR, you’re just about to create or build your website and need ALL the tips on what to include. WE GOTCHU in today’s episode!!!
Today we are giving you a short and sweet power-punch episode on the top 5 things you absolutely need to have on your website. Whether you’re just wanting to spruce up your already amazing site or you’re starting from ground zero, this episode is gonna bring some fire to your headphones today.
1. An Engaging “about” page
Here are specifics on what we mean when we say engaging:
- KEEP IT BRIEF, NO long sagas of your journey from the time you were 3. At that stage in your customer’s journey with you, at the very beginning, if you have a long sage your customer won’t connect with you and click off. Get to the connection points right away and you can still keep it personal.
- A great way to keep connections is to have personal images that engage.
- Keep in mind this is a strong place to build rapport and relationship with your ideal customer.
2. Pricing (even starting prices)
This repels and attracts and saves you and customers/clients tons of headaches/time from inquiring and having no idea where you stand in the price range. Call it an investment because it reminds people they will get a return on their investment. This is also where you can hit hard on your VALUE before, after, and during the price is listed!
If you don’t have an experience page, put ALL of the info about what you offer/what makes you different on this page! Your pricing page should still reflect the experience you offer. Answer the question of what it will look, feel and be like if they work with you.
3. A booking page/contact form
Call it your “book-me” or “work with us” page, instead of “contact me”.
Don’t just have a form and that’s it. Have even more copy explaining your value and attracting the right clients. Re-route them back to your experience page if you have one!
4. Reviews
Having that word of mouth shows the value of your service. Sprinkle them throughout ALL pages, especially on your pricing pages and booking pages. We recommend having one to two on every single one of your pages. Testimonials are so powerful.
5. NO dead ends on any page
Have a footer or sticky navigation. Don’t make the customer work for it, you want to make the customer experience a breeze.
With this, don’t rely on your navigation bars. Have a CTA (call to action) at the end of every step leading them to the next step.
We could give you a MILLION different things to make a great website, but these are 5 of the most crucial.
