
We’re sharing 6 things we do in our lives that we have found bring us so much life & health. These are habits or actions that we have chosen to make a consistent part of our days because of the impact it leaves on us, our families, and our businesses.
If you are wanting something new to bring even more peace, joy, and health into your life, this episode is for you.
If you find yourself easily stressed out, anxious, fearful, or slipping into negative thoughts… these are what we do to combat all of that day-to-day.
Putting Jesus first
Time with Him every morning before anything else (read your bible!!). Investing in the church community. Try journalling your prayers instead of just thinking about them or saying them. If you’re in a busy season have prayer throughout the day. Or listening to worship and having at-home worship time.
Workout or move your body in some capacity every single day
Different ideas:
- Morning or evening walks by yourself/with spouse/with family.
- Bike rides
- Short at-home workouts – free youtube workouts or sweat app
- Swim
- Lift weights at home or at the gym
- Walk on a treadmill in your office while working
Limit screen time
Don’t have a tv in your house. It’s not even a temptation or a consideration. Put your phone in another room while you sleep and get an old fashion alarm clock.
Put screen time limits on your phone. The app Opal is also AMAZING for this.
Eat HEALTHY
Meal prepping to make it easier to be consistent with eating. Eating 3 full meals per day. Also drinking water will change your life.
Community/friends
“You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.”
Your friends WILL impact SO much of your life. Be intentional to cultivate deep, rich, meaningful relationships. Don’t be afraid to step back from those that aren’t life-giving if you feel God leading you too. Take ACTION (put out effort!!) – reach out to people, actually make time for friend hangs, follow up, show up, etc.
Sabbath
We NEED rest. It’s literally COMMANDED. If you work more than 40 hours/week you stop being productive and start wasting time. More work does NOT equal more productivity. We NEED to refresh and rest each week.
