The logistical workflow of incorporating album sales with a designer into your photography business. Pros and cons of pic-time albums vs. a custom designer and even more!
Lynette’s Story
Meet Lynette, the creative force behind Romero Album Design, based in the Midwest. With a portfolio gracing the pages of Vogue and Tatler, Lynette stands at the intersection of luxury and artistry. Collaborating with world-renowned photographers, Lynette brings an editorial approach to design, seamlessly blending storytelling and aesthetics. With a distinctive editorial approach, each album curated by Lynette is a visual symphony, weaving together moments and emotions into timeless masterpieces.
Lynette’s business model
She does a little bit of both. She has the public side where she offers albums to couples and then she also is an outsourced resource for photographers.
Why & How
Whether your clients tell you or they maybe don’t know it, that’s what they want in the end. There is the emotional side of it but then the practical side is you as a photographer have done all this work so why not make a little more money? Providing albums is such an easy way to do that. The more you talk about it, the more excited you are the more your clients will buy into it as well. They should know from the first time they go onto your Instagram or website that you offer albums.
Lynette handles everything client-based, besides payment. Every photographer might be charging different prices for albums. So she does everything besides that.
Mark-ups and pricing:
If you are going to be selling an album. Make sure it is from a legit album provider and it has closed pricing. You would hate to order something. Make sure you are using a professional vendor that isn’t going to market their pricing so then your clients can’t go look and see how much more you are upcharging. Lynn recommends creating a sample album that you would want every single client you would want to get. Make it an irresistible offer.
