Here’s a good ol’ Q&A episode! You ask the questions and we answer them! That’s what we’re doing today. There are lots of different questions here today, marriage, photography, lifestyle, content, all the things!
Madi: Do you think your gear is what makes you a “good photographer”?
Yes and no. No, but yes. At the end of the day, not in the sense that you could have all the best gear in the world and you could take a trash photo. 3:45 Your camera does not take good photos, you do. No, your gear does not make you a good photographer. However, your gear is very impactful in your final work and product.
Katherine: How do you keep your personal marriages strong & stay connected to your spouse?
Make sure you marry someone with the same worldview. Making sure communication and honor is top, every single day. To communicate well and be on the same page, you have to be connected. In the sense that you have to be best friends. You have to be unified and a team. And to do that, you have to make time for it. Set aside the time to dream together, talk, etc. You have to put in the time. Go read the book- A Severe Mercy!
Lydia: How do you manage new ideas without getting distracted?? Aka focusing on what you’ve already started.
Keeping yourself very focused on your goals and your why. When you do have dreams or ideas, you can jot them down. You can assess if it’s the right season and can jot it down or if it’s the time to do it. At the core, it’s being so clear on your goals and your why.
Xan Sibley: Would love to hear about how y’all prep/plan content for your personal brands.
We don’t. There was a time when we did. But now we don’t, we do it all off the cuff now. Unless we are strategically launching something that might change. But we’re also in a season where we are not hustling.
Aubrey: What worked when you and Linds were in separate states working together?
ZOOM, made it practically happen. At the core of what worked, is communication. It’s very similar to any other relationship in your life where communication is key. The hardest issue was content photos, we had to batch like psychos whenever we were together.
