“Why am I not getting booked?”
This is a service-based entrepreneur’s biggest hurdle. And nearly all topics of business can be boiled down to this question.
Today we wanted to dive into ONE area that has the power to impact your bookings the most: your inquiry response email. If you JUST changed this email alone, but your client experience is awful, you did zero marketing, and your backend business structures were lazy, you still might not be getting bookings. HOWEVER, most often when small business owners come to us in coaching calls and ask this question, when we dive into their business, one of the things we ALWAYS come back to that they could improve on is their inquiry response email.
This email is the heartbeat of bookings. It can easily make or break someone deciding to book with you or going in another direction OR just ghosting you altogether.
Mistakes you might be making:
1. Not being yourself/using your brand voice – aka your email sounds like every other response email
2. Not putting pricing in the initial email
3. Not having a branded pricing guide
4. Not stating clearly who you are, who you serve, and the experience YOU bring to the table
5. Not asking follow-up questions
6. Not making the next steps super clear
